Ok, here’s one more project from our Summer Stampin’ Day last weekend. This one is a super cute and simple Takeout Box.
This was so simple, it doesn’t really require much explanation. Just wrap some dsp around the box, tie up with ribbon and add a tag! On the tag, I did a little paper piecing by stamping the “friend” part of the stamp on the various colored card stocks and then cut them out in different sizes and glued them over each letter. I also added a little bit of coloring over some of the lines on the image using my markers. Simple but cute!
I’ve got another project I’d like to share with you from my Summer Stampin’ Day last weekend. This one is a home decor project.
I know this picture isn’t the best. I had a horrible time trying to get a good one, but hopefully you can still get the idea. This project is so cute and looks even better in person. The background is Tip Top Taupe card stock with the scratched background stamp from the You’ve Got This stamp set. The flowers are all made by punching out 3 flowers with the Flower Medallion punch. Three of the flowers are from Tip Top Taupe card stock and 3 are from the Tip Top Taupe designer series paper (2015-2017 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack). Then, you use your bone folder to break down the fibers and soften up the paper by curling back and forth on them and then crumple them up. Staple them together and then “squish” (a very technical term) them toward the center. I then added one of our new Metal Rimmed Pearls in the center of each flower.
And, by the way – the frame came from Walmart and is a perfect match with Tip Top Taupe!
It’s my favorite time of year! Time for an awesome new catalog! And, this one is full of awesome products, as always! And with every new Stampin’ Up! year, comes 5 new In Colors. I love new colors! This year’s are awesome. They are Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. They are all featured in these cute little note pads that I made for all of my guests at my New Catalog Party last Saturday.
To make these, you’ll just need to have junior legal pads cut in half at your office supply store. The cover is a 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ piece of card sock, scored at 2-5/8″ & 2-7/8″.
